Privacy Policy

This policy describes how ManuLens handles Google Sign-In data, uploads, OCR outputs, waitlist records, and support requests. Last updated: 2026-05-06.

Information we collect

We collect account details from Google Sign-In, waitlist details you submit, upload filenames and metadata, OCR outputs, and basic request logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use Google data

Google account data is used only for authentication, account display, access management, abuse prevention, and support. ManuLens does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

OCR accuracy limits

OCR confidence varies by ink quality, page damage, and writing style. Even with review signals, output may still need manual correction.

Upload permissions

Upload only content you own or have authorized rights to process. Do not upload personal identity documents, confidential medical records, or materials you lack permission to store and process.

Third-party processors

OCR and hosting functions may use trusted partners, including Mistral for OCR and Vercel/Supabase for hosting, authentication, and data storage. Their role is limited to service delivery.

Current pricing state

Payments are not open yet. During this phase, ManuLens is waitlist-based and free to join.

Data handling

  • Uploads and derived outputs are processed to perform OCR and provide review-ready text.
  • Google Sign-In provides your name, email address, and profile image so ManuLens can create a session, show account context, and respond to support requests.
  • Uploaded files may be sent to Mistral for OCR processing. Mistral receives only the document content required to return extracted text and page metadata.
  • We may store uploaded files temporarily for a short recovery window so you can inspect a result. During the current pilot, OCR results are primarily kept in your browser unless persistence is explicitly enabled.
  • You may request deletion of submitted files, waitlist records, and account-related records from active retention by contacting privacy support.
  • Support, legal, and abuse-safety staff can access account-related metadata when investigating policy violations, abuse, or deletion requests.
